Barka Lemara
Barka Lemara is a historic steel towed barge built in 1937, moored on the Brda River in the heart of Bydgoszcz, near the Old Town Bridge and the iconic granaries. It now houses the Museum of Barge Legends, where visitors can learn about the history of inland navigation and the life of bargemen. The exhibition includes three holds and a living cabin, featuring authentic artifacts and stories. The barge is accessible to people with disabilities, with a wheelchair platform and Braille descriptions. It also hosts cultural events, concerts, and film screenings. Lemara is part of the TeH2O Water, Industry and Craft Trail. In 2023, it attracted about 25,000 visitors. Due to renovation, the barge is temporarily in a shipyard, replaced by another historic vessel, Certa. Admission: regular ticket 10 PLN, reduced 5 PLN; school group chaperones free.
