Terms of Service

1. General

2. Definitions

• User — any person using the Service.
• User Content — reviews, ratings, comments, "recommend / don't recommend" votes and uploaded photos.
• Owner — a User who manages an assigned object after signing in via an e-mail link.

3. The service

The Service provides a catalogue of places, objects and content (attractions, stays, restaurants, blog, articles, projects) and community features (reviews, votes, photos). Browsing is free of charge.

4. Technical requirements

Use requires an internet-capable device and a current browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled.

5. Rules of use and User Content

The User agrees to use the Service lawfully and not to post unlawful, infringing, offensive, misleading or spam content.

By submitting User Content, the User warrants that they hold the necessary rights (including to photos) and grants the Operator a free, non-exclusive licence to store, display and reproduce it to the extent necessary to operate the Service.

A star rating is only possible together with a comment. Comments are published after moderation. The Operator may refuse or remove content that breaches these terms.

The User may delete their own uploaded photos at any time. Photos uploaded by the Operator may only be deleted by the Operator.

6. Owner accounts

Owners sign in solely via a single-use e-mail link valid for 5 minutes (no password). An Owner may edit the data of their assigned objects; changes may be reviewed. The Owner is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided.

7. Intellectual property

The Service and its elements (excluding User Content) are legally protected and belong to the Operator or its licensors.

8. Liability

The Operator endeavours to keep the Service working correctly but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from the use of displayed data or external content. Liability that cannot be excluded (in particular towards consumers) remains unaffected.

10. Changes

The Operator may amend these terms for good cause. The current version is published on the Service with its date.

11. Governing law and final provisions

The applicable law governs these terms; mandatory consumer-protection rules of the consumer's country of habitual residence remain unaffected. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
