Biała Woda Nature Reserve
Biała Woda Nature Reserve is a picturesque protected area in the Pieniny Mountains, located near Szczawnica in the Jaworki district. The reserve encompasses the valley of the Biała Woda stream, surrounded by limestone rocks and forests. It is an ideal spot for a walk in any season – in winter the trail is safe and dusted with snow, while in summer it serves as a cycling route. The yellow trail leads to the state border, is easy and family-friendly. Visitors can admire unique rock formations and wildlife. Admission is free and the area is open 24/7. In Jaworki, it is worth visiting the former Greek Catholic church, now the Church of St. John the Baptist, with its preserved iconostasis and polychromes. This is a perfect short trip from Szczawnica, accessible by public transport.
