Green Velo Eastern Bicycle Trail

📍 PLFree🕒 4+ hoursOpen 24/7

The Green Velo Eastern Bicycle Trail is the longest continuous, signposted cycling route in Poland, stretching nearly 2000 km. It runs through five eastern voivodeships: Warmia-Masuria, Podlaskie, Lublin, Subcarpathia, and Świętokrzyskie. The trail passes through picturesque forests, national parks, and nature reserves, offering a variety of landscapes – from the Biebrza marshes to the hills of the Carpathian Foothills. The route is divided into several 'kingdoms', such as the Biebrza and Narew Valley, Białowieża Forest, Roztocze, and Suwałki Region. Each stage provides an opportunity to explore unique nature, culture, and history. Green Velo is free and open year-round, though best enjoyed in spring and autumn. It is suitable for families, groups, and experienced cyclists. Along the way, there are information points, rest areas, and tourist attractions. It is an excellent way to enjoy active recreation and discover lesser-known parts of Poland.
