Rabka-Zdrój

Rabka-Zdrój is a spa town in Lesser Poland, situated in the Rabka Valley at the foot of the Gorce Mountains, at an altitude of about 500 m above sea level. Known as the 'City of Children of the World', it offers numerous family attractions, including the 'Rabcio' Puppet Theatre, Rabkoland amusement park, and the picturesque Spa Park. The Spa Park, established in 1864, covers about 30 hectares and is divided into a sunny zone with themed gardens, playgrounds, and a brine graduation tower, and a shady zone for leisurely walks. The park features dolomite stone sculptures and a monument to John Paul II the Tourist, from which the Papal Trail into the Gorce Mountains begins. The town also serves as a base for hiking trails in the Gorce and Beskid Wyspowy ranges. Travel from Kraków takes about one hour; free and paid parking are available. Attractions are open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
