Golub Castle

Golub Castle is a Gothic-Renaissance fortress located in Golub-Dobrzyń, in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Built by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century, it served as a stronghold, monastery, and palace. Today it is a living museum and cultural center. Visitors can explore the history of the Teutonic Order and Princess Anna Vasa, who resided at the castle in the 16th century. The castle houses the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Center of Herbalism named after Anna Vasa, featuring an exhibition of herbs, herbals, and old tools. The castle also offers accommodation in stylish chambers (72 beds), the Herbarium restaurant, and facilities for weddings and conferences. The annual Grand International Knight's Tournament takes place here. For active visitors, there is a Knight's School offering horseback riding activities. The site is suitable for families, school groups, and individual tourists. On-site amenities include a café, gift shop, and paid parking.
