Palace in Łomnica

The Palace in Łomnica is a Baroque residence located in the picturesque Jelenia Góra Valley, in the village of Łomnica, Lower Silesia. Built around 1720 for the de Thomagnini family, it was later expanded by linen merchant Christian Mentzel, who also designed the surrounding landscape park. Today, the main palace houses a museum of interiors with 18 rooms showcasing authentic period furnishings – from an 18th-century linen merchant's office to a 1950s school classroom. The adjacent Widow's House has been converted into a stylish hotel and an elegant restaurant. The former farm buildings now host a shop selling linen products and local delicacies. The site is a result of Polish-German cooperation – the palace was repurchased in 1990 by descendants of the pre-war owners and meticulously restored. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, a café, and a gift shop. It is an ideal destination for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and families.
