Moszna Castle

📍 Moszna, PL🕒 1–3 hours€€ Moderate

Moszna Castle is a picturesque residence located in the small village of Moszna in the Opole Voivodeship. Its eclectic silhouette with 99 towers and turrets and 365 rooms resembles a fairy-tale castle from Disney movies. The building combines Baroque, Neo-Gothic, and Neo-Renaissance elements, making it a unique example of architectural freedom. The site's history dates back to the 18th century, but its current form is thanks to the von Tiele-Winckler family, Silesian industrialists who transformed it into a representative residence after a fire in 1896. Today, the castle is open to visitors – the tourist route includes the library, chapel, richly decorated staircases, bedroom, and Tiele-Winckler's study. Audio guides and information boards are available. On-site there is also a restaurant serving traditional Silesian dishes, a café, a gift shop, and hotel rooms. The castle is open all year round and is an attraction for families, couples, and groups. It is an ideal place for a few-hour trip, combining history with the pleasure of admiring extraordinary architecture.
