📍 Bad Schandau, DE🕒 4+ hours€€ Moderate

Schrammsteine is a spectacular rock massif in Saxon Switzerland, near Bad Schandau. It is one of the most beautiful trails in the region, famous for dramatic rock formations and breathtaking viewpoints. The route leads through a rock labyrinth with steep ladders, narrow passages, and hidden nooks. The panorama of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains is stunning. The entire loop takes about five hours, but it's worth taking extra time to enjoy the views. The trail starts in the picturesque village of Schmilka, passing cobblestone streets, a historic mill, and half-timbered houses. Along the way, you'll encounter metal stairs and viewpoints such as Rauschensteiner Turm, Spieß, and Breite-Kluft-Aussicht. The area is popular, so it's best to start early.
