Karkonoskie Tajemnice

Karkonoskie Tajemnice (Karkonosze Secrets) is an underground multimedia exhibition in the center of Karpacz, dedicated to the legendary Mountain Spirit. The ruler of the Karkonosze Mountains, also known as Rzepiór, Karkonosz, or Liczyrzepa, has appeared in local tales since the 16th century. The interactive display lets visitors create their own Mountain Spirit on a touchscreen, discover the philosopher's stone, play a harp with invisible strings, or disperse storm clouds. The exhibition combines modern technology with artistic craftsmanship, engaging all senses through light, sound, and scent. Guests explore 12 stories about herbalists, mineral seekers, glassmakers, and legends of the Mountain Spirit. The attraction won the National Geographic Traveler award '7 Cudów Polski' (7 Wonders of Poland). It is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with audio guides available in English, German, Russian, and Czech. Located at ul. Mickiewicza 1a, about 200 meters from the promenade, with paid parking nearby.
