Osiedle Wilcze Gardło (Eichenkamp)
Wilcze Gardło (Eichenkamp) is a historic housing estate located on the southwestern outskirts of Gliwice, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. Built between 1937 and 1941 as a model settlement for SA and NSDAP members, it was inspired by the garden city movement. The estate features low-rise single-family houses, abundant greenery, and a coherent architectural style referencing the Heimatstil. The central point is Plac Jaśminu (Jasmine Square), surrounded by buildings with workshops and shops on the ground floor. Along the compositional axis stands the former Community House and a full-size sports stadium. Despite its Nazi origins, the estate is now a recognized monument of urban planning and architecture. Walking along streets named Orchidei, Storczyków, or Magnolii, visitors can admire the well-preserved original layout. It is an ideal spot for architecture and history enthusiasts, as well as those seeking a quiet, green suburban area. The site is accessible to everyone, and public transport stops are nearby.
