Gdański Ogród Zoologiczny
Gdańsk Zoological Garden, located in the picturesque Oliwa district, is Poland's largest zoo by area. Spread over approximately 125 hectares, it is home to over 160 species and more than 800 animals, including elephants, Angolan lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, tigers, as well as a broad-snouted caiman and pygmy hippopotamuses. A special children's area called Little Zoo allows direct contact with friendly animals like goats, sheep, llamas and rabbits. The zoo also offers educational displays and talks about global biodiversity and conservation. On-site facilities include a café, a restaurant, paid parking and bike parking. It's an ideal destination for families – a leisurely visit takes about 4–6 hours. The zoo is easily accessible from Gdańsk and other Tricity cities. Current ticket prices and opening hours are available on the official website.
