Jaskinia Obłazkowa
Jaskinia Obłazkowa is one of the most accessible caves in the Tatra Mountains, located in the Kościeliska Valley near Kościelisko. It lies at the foot of Raptawicka Turnia, about 130 meters above the valley floor, at an elevation of approximately 1098 m above sea level. The total length of its corridors is about 120–200 meters, with the main passage stretching around 50 meters. The entrance is easily visible, measuring about 9–10 meters in width and 2–3 meters in height. Behind it lies a spacious entrance chamber, from which a narrow corridor leads to a small end chamber with side branches. The cave is dry, its walls show signs of water erosion, but speleothems are virtually absent – there are no stalactites or stalagmites. In winter, ice formations appear. To reach the cave, follow red and black markers from the bottom of the Kościeliska Valley. The route begins with a rocky climb secured by a chain, then continues along a stone path among spruce trees. The visit takes about 15 minutes and is self-guided, no guide required. Bring a headlamp (preferably a headlamp), gloves, and waterproof shoes with good grip. Jaskinia Obłazkowa connects with Mylna and Raptawicka caves, forming the Pawlikowski system, though there is no direct passage between them. It is an ideal destination for families and anyone wanting to explore the underground world of the Tatras.
