Latarnia Morska Niechorze
The Niechorze Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the cliff coast of the Baltic Sea in the village of Niechorze, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. It was built between 1860 and 1866 and first lit on 1 December 1866. The tower is 45 metres tall, with its light at 62.8 metres above sea level and a range of 20 nautical miles. Today the lighthouse is open to visitors, offering a viewing platform at the top with panoramic views of the Rewal coastline. The climb involves 208 stairs. In 1997 the lighthouse and its grounds were listed as a historic monument. Damaged during World War II, it was rebuilt and relit in 1948. In 2023 a monument to lighthouse keepers was unveiled in front of the building. It is a popular tourist attraction, suitable for families and anyone interested in maritime history and scenic viewpoints.
