Rezerwat przyrody Jezioro Liwia Łuża
Jezioro Liwia Łuża Nature Reserve is a faunal reserve located in Niechorze, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, about 0.5–1 km from the Baltic Sea coast. Established on July 8, 1959, it covers an area of 239.74 hectares. Strict protection applies to 162.52 hectares of waters and reed beds, while the remaining areas are under active and landscape protection. The main goal is to preserve the unique lagoon ecosystem of the lake and habitats of halophilic plants and waterfowl. The reserve is an important bird sanctuary, hosting breeding species such as great crested grebe, mute swan, greylag goose, marsh harrier, and during migrations, bean goose and white-fronted goose. A 9.3-km circular trail, the Liwia Łuża Trail, surrounds the reserve, connecting to the E-9 Coastal Trail. There are three piers on the lake – two from the Niechorze side and one from Skalno. The reserve is part of the Natura 2000 areas: Trzebiatów-Kołobrzeg Coastal Strip and Trzebiatów Coast. It is an excellent destination for nature lovers and hikers.
