Muzeum Regionalne im. prof. Antoniego Krajewskiego Lanckorona

The Prof. Antoni Krajewski Regional Museum in Lanckorona is housed in a historic wooden building with a shingle roof, one of the few that survived the great fire of 1868. The annually whitewashed structure is a perfect example of traditional Lanckorona architecture. Inside, visitors can see everyday objects from the early 20th century, furniture, paintings, and farming tools used by local residents. A highlight is the model of Lanckorona’s market square before the fire, along with archaeological finds from the castle ruins. A separate exhibition dedicated to the Bar Confederation features copies of documents, maps, and biographies connected to the area. The museum was founded in 1967 thanks to the Friends of Lanckorona Society and Professor Antoni Krajewski of Kraków. It offers art workshops and museum lessons for children and teenagers. A gift shop sells local handicrafts inspired by regional traditions. This museum tells the story of Lanckorona’s history, art, and spirit, known as the Town of Angels.
