Opole
Opole, the capital of the Opole region, is a city full of surprises – combining rich history, greenery, and famous musical culture. A stroll through the market square reveals colorful tenement houses and an impressive town hall with a tower modeled on Florence's Palazzo Vecchio. Nearby stands the Groszowy Bridge, also known as the Green Bridge, leading to Pasieka Island – a green oasis with elegant villas and views of the Oder River. On the island rises the Piast Tower, a 35-meter medieval structure, the only remnant of the former castle. From its top, a panorama of the city unfolds, while the interior houses a multimedia exhibition. Opole Venice, a section of the Młynówka canal, charms with tenement houses rising directly from the water, creating a romantic nook. The city is also famous for the Millennium Amphitheatre, venue of the National Festival of Polish Song. With numerous cafes, restaurants, and green spaces, Opole is perfect for a weekend trip for families, couples, and groups.
