Wodospad Szklarki

📍 Piechowice, PL🕒 Up to 1 hour€ BudgetOpen 24/7

The Szklarki Waterfall is the second highest waterfall in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains, with a height of 13.3 meters. It is located at an altitude of 525 meters above sea level, in the picturesque Szklarki Gorge, within an enclave of the Karkonosze National Park. Administratively it belongs to Piechowice, but it is often associated with Szklarska Poręba. The water falls in a wide cascade that spirals and narrows downward, forming an evorsion kettle. At the waterfall, there is the PTTK shelter "Kochanówka" with a buffet open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. The easiest access is from a free parking lot on national road DK3 – a paved path of only 300-400 meters is wheelchair and stroller friendly. This is an ideal spot for families with children, seniors, and people with disabilities. You can also reach it on foot from Piechowice or Szklarska Poręba via scenic trails. The waterfall is open all year round, and a visit usually takes less than an hour.
