Karkonosze National Park is one of the most valuable protected areas in Poland, located in Jelenia Góra, in the heart of the Karkonosze Mountains. It covers the highest parts of these mountains, including Śnieżka – the highest peak of the Sudetes. The park is famous for its unique nature, picturesque hiking trails, and rich history. Visitors can admire rugged landscapes, waterfalls, peat bogs, and relict forests. For families with children, educational paths are available, while more advanced hikers can tackle challenging mountain routes. The park features viewpoints, mountain huts, and nature museums. Admission is free, and the park is open year-round. Plan at least 4 hours for a visit. On-site facilities include toilets, a café, a gift shop, and guided tours. The park is easily accessible by public transport, and bike parking is provided.
