Naturschutz-Tierpark Görlitz-Zgorzelec is a 5-hectare zoo located in Görlitz, Saxony. Despite its modest size, it maintains high breeding standards for about 500 animals of 100 species. The enclosures are designed with attention to natural habitats, and many allow close contact with animals – you can brush pigs, feed porcupines, or watch kangaroos. The zoo features Europe's only Tibetan Village, combining animals, architecture, and Buddhist culture. The Discovery Barn offers a covered playground and themed educational zones addressing globalization and sustainable development. The 'Korytkowo' bar serves regional dishes, and all information signs are also available in Polish. The zoo is open daily year-round: March to October 9:00–18:00, November to February 9:00–16:00. It is ideal for families with children, nature lovers, and anyone seeking close encounters with animals.
