Dwór Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego Kąśna Dolna

📍 Ciężkowice, PL🕒 1–3 hours

The Manor of Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Kąśna Dolna is the only preserved residence of this outstanding composer and statesman. It is located in Ciężkowice, on the left bank of the Biała River, about two kilometers west of the town center. Built in 1833 in classical style for the Gostkowski family, it was purchased by Paderewski in 1897. He spent summer months here with his wife Helena and also enjoyed his honeymoon in this place. Inside, you can see restored rooms: a small salon, a Chinese room, a study, a bedroom, and classical and rococo salons. A notable feature is the Petrof piano on which the composer played. Today, the manor serves as a museum and concert venue, hosting cultural events. It is surrounded by a park, and the entire property has been listed as a historical monument since 1980. It is a perfect destination for families, couples, school trips – everyone will find something of interest. Guided tours are available.
