Museum of Sea Fishing in Świnoujście
The Museum of Sea Fishing in Świnoujście is dedicated to the history and traditions of Baltic fishing. It is located at Plac Rybaka 1 in the heart of the city. The museum features permanent exhibitions, including the natural history display 'Fauna of Seas and Oceans' and aquariums with live coral reefs showcasing specimens from Australia, Sri Lanka, Hawaii, and Malaysia. A separate exhibition presents ceramics related to Świnoujście. For history enthusiasts, there are sections on the port, the Świnoujście–Szczecin waterway, the promenade, and the breakwaters. The museum is fully wheelchair accessible, with toilets, a café, and a gift shop. It is open Monday through Sunday: Monday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is an excellent destination for families, school groups, and anyone interested in the maritime heritage of the region.
